:iconleda-pokedeliver: :iconsaysplz: Honestly, I think the legendary dogs got translated to be dogs because of this letter “犬.” That one letter however can also be translated into “beasts” or any other four legged creature.

If you look at the beasts this is what they look like:
:bulletyellow:Raikou- Saber Tooth or Tiger
:bulletred:Entei- Lion
:bulletblue:Suicune- Leopards (if anything snow leopards) or mythical beast :Qilin

Either way this is still up to debate. Oh the controversies.... :P

its true tht they are ''felines''-like, they were never actually ''dogs'' as some translations say, the official translation for the japanese name is beast and not dog. they are the legendary beasts, so I guess its to anyones imagenation what they think they are. in my opnion, I agree with what DarkKenji said in the discription.

That's what I thought back when everyone said they were the dogs but when it changed to musketeers i figured they all would be from a diff family so one of them has to hold onto the title of dog
