Is a bird in the hand worth two in the bush? ......Yes?

We dont have a TV with cable but we do watch shows online a lot. In case you aren't sure what commercial we are talking about in the comic here's a [link] After we heard that play a few times questions started to arise....

Dont look it up! Just think about it lol

It means that having a bird already in your hands-- caught, tamed, whatever-- is worth the two that you see in the bush/tree and will have to go through the trouble of capturing.

It means it's better to enjoy what you have (the bird in the hand) than wanting something better you will most likely not get (the two in the bush).

It came from medieval times where the bird in the hand was a falcon. and it was more important than the prey, that was amongst the bush.
