It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

HAPPY NEW YEAR GANG!!!

Sup

I hope everyone kicked off the New Year on a good note! I got invited to a lot of parties in San Francisco which would have been awesome but I ended up in my Small home town with a couple of close friends, pizza, and got our video game on. It was a night of Call of Duty and Halo Reach for us lol

First con of the year is going to be Sac Anime. It’s a smaller con of maybe 2-3 thousand people, but I did attend last year and it’s pretty cool because I felt like I talked to almost everyone there. I also got to meet Steve Blum, he is amazing Voice actor who did the voice of Spike from cowboy bebop, Wolverine, and Master Chief to name a few and he told me he was a fan of mine which blew me away! I’m excited to get back to going to cons again and I’ll see you guys there!

I hope 2011 brings waves of Awesome to all of you
